Celebrating its 35th season, Bard on the Beach is a beloved Shakespearean theatre festival in Vancouver, taking place annually from early June to late September. This year’s festival promises an exciting lineup of four classic Shakespearean plays, captivating audiences with its blend of comedy, tragedy, and dramatic storytelling.
Festival Highlights
Bard on the Beach is held at the Bard Festival Site in Vanier Park, Kitsilano. The festival features performances in two outdoor tent theatres:
- BMO Mainstage Theatre: 733-seat capacity
- Howard Family Stage: 240-seat capacity
Parking is available at the nearby H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
