Whitewater Rafting on the Red Deer River
Join Mukwah Rafting for a thrilling guided expedition down the Red Deer and Panther Rivers. Experience the excitement of navigating class II-IV rapids through the rugged wilderness of the Rocky Mountains' eastern slopes.
This 24km journey is the longest trip offered by Mukwah Rafting, taking participants through the best rapids the river has to offer. The adventure begins with a float to the Red Deer River, where guests learn basic paddle commands and teamwork. After an exhilarating introduction to whitewater rafting, there's a break for lunch and an optional cliff jump. The day continues with more surfing, splashing, and navigating numerous rapids until the bus back to base camp is reached.
For those not ready for a full day of rafting, the 17km Sampler trip provides a glimpse of the Red Deer River's white water. This shorter journey is perfect for first-timers or those looking for a taste of the rafting experience.
Safety and Equipment
All trips are equipped with safety gear, including First Aid Kits, Throw Ropes, Satellite Phones, Spare Paddling Gear, extra clothing, and additional safety equipment. Guides hold up-to-date certifications with the Professional Rafters Outfitters Association of Alberta or the International Rafters Federation.
