Skyride Adventure
High above towering Douglas firs, the breathtaking views of Vancouver, the sparkling Pacific Ocean, Gulf Islands, and snowy peaks unfold as you journey up the mountainside on the Skyride. As North America's largest aerial tramway system, accommodating up to 100 passengers, the Skyride is your gateway to the majestic nature of The Peak of Vancouver. Whether in search of the perfect scenic photo or dinner at Altitudes Bistro, your adventure begins with the Skyride.
The Skyride operates year-round, departing every 15 minutes. Early risers can catch the first downhill Skyride for hikers, departing at 7:30am. A Skyride round-trip is included with a Mountain Admission Ticket or Annual Pass, and advance online ticket purchase is recommended.
Skyride Surf Adventure
Grouse Mountain also offers the unique Skyride Surf Adventure during the summer season. Feel the wind on your face as you ascend 2,800 feet from the Lower Terminal to the Peak Chalet on the rooftop of the Grouse Mountain Super Skyride. This adventure provides a special viewing platform accessible to small groups, offering an exhilarating and unmatched experience.
As you travel 1,610 meters on the rooftop, a guide will provide a short, informative overview of the Skyride's mechanical structure and identify key landmarks and facts about the surrounding scenery, from the Coast Mountains to the Lower Mainland.
Participants must be at least 8 years old and have the mobility to climb the staircase to the Skyride Surf Adventure platform. Closed-toe shoes are required, and no heels are allowed. The Skyride Surf Adventure will not operate under very windy or rainy conditions.
Other Activities
Book your family for a Breakfast with the Bears, an exclusive ranger experience at Grouse Mountain. After a four-year hiatus, Breakfast with the Bears will return for select dates this summer.
Enjoy early access to the mountain to watch resident Grizzly bears Grinder and Coola enjoy their breakfast and learn from one of the wildlife experts about Grizzlies and bear conservation. This special experience includes a delicious buffet breakfast in The Grizzly Lookout, along with special gifts from Grinder and Coola.
