About the Artist - Palak Dhiman
Palak Dhimān is a distinguished Canadian Indian classical Kathak dance artist hailing from the renowned Jaipur gharana. Born in Kenya and raised in Canada from the age of 2, Palak's upbringing by her Punjabi-descent parents instilled in her a deep appreciation for her cultural heritage.
Palak's journey into the world of Kathak began in 1993 under the tutelage of Smt. Shobha Kauser at Pracheen Kalakendra in India. She honed her skills and passion for Kathak through rigorous training, immersing herself in the intricacies of this ancient dance form.
