Capital City Big Band: Live at the YardbirdCapital City Big Band Society

The Capital City Big Band, founded in 2017, is one of Edmonton's top community Big Bands, known for bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds with a shared love for Big Band music.

This December, join guest conductor Eric Wieden for an electrifying evening of jazz at Edmonton’s iconic Yardbird Suite. The concert will feature dynamic arrangements of classic and modern jazz tunes, including blues, swing, ballads, and contemporary pieces. Enjoy compositions by legends like Maynard Ferguson, Herbie Hancock, Thad Jones, Count Basie, and Pat Metheny.
