Get ready for a delightful journey back in time at the Pioneer Days Festival, taking place on Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sunnybrook Farm Museum in Red Deer. This annual event promises two days packed with family-friendly activities, historic exhibitions, and community spirit.
Event Highlights
- Pioneer Breakfast: Kick off your day with a hearty pancake breakfast to energize you for a day full of activities.
- Antique Cars and Tractors: On Saturday, admire a collection of vintage vehicles, including classic cars and tractors. Watch the antique tractor pull competition and join the tractor parade. The festival will also feature a Minneapolis-Moline exhibit and a display of antique toys.
- Cookie Walk and Homemade Treats: Enjoy homemade cookies and pie, and treat yourself to delicious cinnamon buns from the food concession stands.
- Children’s Fun: Children can enjoy a variety of activities, including face painting, a bouncy castle, barrel train rides, and engaging games.

Special Anniversary Celebration
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Reynolds Alberta Museum’s participation, showcasing their 1914 Rumley steam traction engine and 1908 International Harvester gasoline traction engine.
