Friday, June 14: Pipes in the Park
The festivities start on Friday with the free "Pipes in the Park" event. Highlights include:
- Concert of Champions: Featuring the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band, SFU Pipe Band Drum Corps, champion highland dancer Marielle Lesperance, Pipe Major Jeff Rowell, and the 78th Fraser Highlander's cannon blast.
- Piobaireachd Competition: Catch the best professional pipers in BC competing in this classical form of highland bagpipe music at 5:00 pm on the Heritage Stage.
- Whisky & Oysters: Enjoy this popular event in the Whisky tent, featuring Victoria's Macaloney Distillery.
- Celtic Music Party: Wrap up the night with a big kitchen party in the Big Tent, featuring live Celtic music.
Saturday, June 15: Highland Games Day
Saturday is packed with traditional Highland Games activities and more, including:
- Competitions: Piping, drumming, pipe band, and highland dancing competitions.
- Whisky School: Participate in whisky tasting sessions for beginners and connoisseurs alike.
- Cultural Workshops: Engage in various cultural activities and workshops.
- Kids Activities: Plenty of fun activities for children, including chances to try piping, drumming, dancing, and caber tossing.
- Food and Vendors: Enjoy a variety of food and merchandise vendors throughout the day.
- Live Performances: The day concludes with a performance by Ashley MacIsaac in the Big Tent.
