Whether gliding gracefully on figure skates or practicing quick turns with hockey skates, the ice surface is well-maintained and inviting. Skating hours are from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, allowing plenty of time for visitors to take in the crisp winter air and stunning views.
The Skating Track
For those looking to explore more, Bowness Park offers a 1.6 km skating track that runs alongside the Bow River. This trail provides a serene and beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and the tranquil river. Skating along this path is a must-do experience, offering a unique perspective of the park. However, note that skaters will need to remove their skates and walk to access the trail, as there are no direct connections from the lagoon.
