Dedicated to education and conservation, the Greater Vancouver Zoo is home to many rescued, donated and orphaned animals. The mission of the Greater Vancouver Zoo is to inspire appreciation of our ecosystems and support conservation efforts by engaging the community.
The Greater Vancouver Zoo is such a fantastic place to visit for animal lovers of all ages. There's so much to see and learn! You can take a walk on the wild side and see majestic animals like lions, tigers, and giraffes, or discover more about animals that call Canada home, like bears, wolves, and cougars.
Discover the sights and sounds of 140 species on 120 acres in the heart of the Fraser Valley.
The zoo also offers educational programs and guided tours, so you can really get an in-depth look at the animals and their habitats.
EXPERIENCES IN THE ZOO
- MESOZOIC ADVENTURE - Journey back in time to when giants roamed, and walk with the dinosaurs in BC's only outdoor animatronic dinosaur adventure! With dinosaurs from all 3 Mesozoic periods (Triassic, Jurassic & Cretaceous). The Mesozoic Era was about 180 million years long and is known as the Age of Reptiles.
- BEHIND THE SCENES - Experience the Zoo in the most exclusive and intimate way possible. Greater Vancouver Zoo brings you closer to your favourite animals. Offering memorable experiences with a variety of animals, you can get closer than anyone and interact directly with them.
- KEEPER TALKS - A unique and engaging way for guests to connect with the animals through spotlighting a day in the life of the Keepers and 15 animals out of the Zoo’s 140 different species, large and small.
- NIGHT IN THE WILD - Experience the sights and sounds of the zoo during a Night in the Wild. From campfires to wild animals and a guided tour, this will certainly be a night to remember.
- TRAIN - Ride through the park for enthusiastic, train-loving guests.
- BIRTHDAY PARTIES - Wild Parties are a customizable party experience offered by the Greater Vancouver Zoo. We want to ensure that your celebration is memorable and fits your chosen budget.
