The Collection

The BC Vintage Truck Museum in Cloverdale features an impressive array of vintage trucks from the early 20th century, highlighting significant advancements in truck design and technology during this period. Here are a few notable examples:

  • 1910-Replica White Delivery Van: A standout piece is the 1910 White Delivery Van replica, donated by Pete Gagan. This vehicle is powered by a 2-cylinder compound steam engine, which was considered highly advanced at the time.
  • 1924-Federal Trucks: Federal Trucks, produced from 1910 to 1959, started in Detroit. The museum’s collection includes a 1924 model, reflecting the robust design and engineering of early 20th-century American trucks.
  • 1928-Graham: Donated by the Williams Family, the 1928 Graham truck was the first vehicle of Williams Moving and Storage, a company that grew to be one of Western Canada’s largest moving companies.

These trucks represent just a fraction of the museum’s extensive collection, each vehicle telling a unique story about the history and development of the trucking industry. Visitors can explore these and other vintage trucks to gain insight into the technological and cultural shifts that have shaped modern transportation.
