Description

Experience the thrill and excitement of Grouse Mountain's World-Famous Lumberjack Show. This captivating spectacle brings the rugged world of early 1900s logging camps to life with a crew of champion performers showcasing their extraordinary skills.

Set in an impressive outdoor arena, the show is a must-see for visitors seeking high-energy entertainment against the stunning backdrop of Vancouver's Grouse Mountain.

The Show

The Lumberjack Show features two logging camps from the early 1900s, where Johnny Nelson from the Green River logging camp faces off against Willie McGee from Blue Mountain to determine who is the top lumberjack. This 45-minute performance is packed with fast-paced events, including log rolling, a 60-foot tree climb, two-man peg and raker saws, axe throwing, and the thrilling springboard chop, the only three-board event of its kind in North America.

Key Events

  • Log Rolling
Watch as competitors balance and battle on a floating log, trying to outmaneuver each other to stay dry and claim victory.
  • 60-Foot Tree Climb
Be amazed as lumberjacks race to the top of a 60-foot tree, demonstrating incredible speed, strength, and agility.
  • Two-Man Peg and Raker Saws
Teams of two work together to saw through massive logs using traditional peg and raker saws, showcasing both skill and coordination.
  • Axe Throwing
Witness precision and power as lumberjacks hurl axes at wooden targets, aiming for the bullseye with each throw.
  • Springboard Chop
This unique and exciting event involves chopping through a tree while standing on springboards inserted into the trunk, a true test of balance and technique.

Show Schedule and Access

The Lumberjack Show runs daily from mid-May to October, with performances typically held at 12:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM.
