Course Progression

Keelboat 1: Start Keelboat Sailing
- Dive into sailing fundamentals with the introductory course.
- No prior experience required.
- Learn the essentials of crewing and skippering on a keelboat.

- Optional Women’s Only course available.
Keelboat 2: Keelboat Skipper

- Prerequisite: Completion of Keelboat 1 or equivalent experience.

- Ideal for those interested in joining the Co-op Boat Program or pursuing further certifications.
Keelboat 3: Keelboat Cruising
- Take sailing to the next level with an immersive three-day cruising course.

- Prerequisite: Successful completion of Keelboat 2 (Keelboat Skipper).
- Earn the Basic Cruising Standard certification upon meeting performance objectives.

Membership and Certification
Membership is not required to participate in sailing courses, making it accessible to all individuals interested in learning to sail. Additionally, Radio Operator Certificate (ROCm) and Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) are not mandatory for sailing on the Glenmore Reservoir.
