Try the captivating world of archery with Lykopis Archery's Introduction to Archery Workshop. This immersive experience is designed to introduce participants to the rich history, diverse disciplines, and fundamental techniques of archery.
The Introduction to Archery (I2A) workshop is a prerequisite for Ongoing Classes. At the end of the Introduction to Archery, attendees will have the opportunity to apply a discount to 3months (12 weeks) of classes.
Exploring the Four Disciplines
During this two-hour workshop, participants will learn about the 'Four Disciplines' of archery through an engaging and interactive presentation.
For the second half of this lesson, our experienced Instructor will teach you the Lykopis method using a modern recurve bow. Participants will have an opportunity to shoot the various bows and arrows from the ‘Four Disciplines’ showcased during the opening presentation, gaining practical skills and insights into the art of archery.
For All Skill Levels
The Intro to Archery workshop is perfect for both experienced archers or those who have had little to no experience in archery and wish to learn a more diverse and in-depth path.
Workshop Details
- Duration: 2 hours
- Schedule: One-time workshops that occur once a month on Saturdays from 10am to noon
- Age Requirement: Participants must be 16+
- Note: The Introduction to Archery workshop is not mandatory for youth interested in joining ongoing classes
- Required: Participants are required to bring a clean change of shoes (a pair of gym shoes)
Private Introduction to Archery Workshop
If you’re looking for a more private and focused learning environment, we also offer Private Introduction to Archery sessions on weekdays. This option also allows you to join the Ongoing Adult Class sooner without having to wait for the next group session.
This one-on-one/semi-private Intro to Archery will be more intensive than the group class. You will have added time to interact with the History of Archery, and a further personalized Archery session.
