ABOUT VANCOUVER CERAMICS
They are dedicated to creating an inviting space for all to cultivate connection, build community and support both ceramic artists and enthusiasts. Their studio is located near the Oak Street bridge connecting Vancouver and Richmond.
POTTERY WORKSHOPS
Clay Intro - Hand Building Workshops
- A Fun experience where you will be introduced to Hand Building
- Workshop lasts 2 hrs which includes up to 30 minutes of cleaning time.
- Total of 4 attendees in each workshop
- Clay and Glazing is included
- Includes 1 pieces (up to 1.5 lbs of clay for each piece)
Clay Intro - Wheel Workshops
- A Fun experience where you will be introduced to the Wheel
- Workshop lasts 2 hrs which includes up to 30 minutes of cleaning time.
- Total of up to 8 attendees in each workshop
- Clay and Glazing is included
- Includes 2 pieces (up to 1.5 lbs of clay for each piece)
Wheel 1
- Join us for 6 sessions and learn Wheel Throwing!
- No previous experience is required.
- In this extended workshop, you will learn all of the wheel basics from wedging, throwing to glazing.
- All tools and clay needed for this workshop, will be provided.
Hand Building 1
- Join us for 6 sessions over 6 weeks and learn Hand Building!
- No previous experience is required. In this extended workshop, you will learn all of the hand-building basics from pinch and coiling techniques to glazing.
- All tools and clay needed for this workshop will be provided.
Private 1:1 - Wheel Workshop
- Join us for a Private 1 on 1 wheel workshop with one of our experienced Instructors!
- Their Private 1 on 1 workshops are meant to be a flexible option for both beginners and experienced potters that cannot book one of our regularly scheduled workshops.
- They suggest that beginners book a 3-session workshop in order to get the most out of their experience.
- Single session workshops are meant for those that have taken a multi-week workshop with them, or another Studio. This workshop provides an opportunity for those that have some experience to level up with whatever skills they hope to improve.
HOW TO PREPARE AND WHAT TO BRING
- Wear clothes and footwear that you can get a little muddy in.
- They will provide an apron, but if you have a favourite one, feel free to bring that!
- Trim your nails and have your hair up (Wheel Workshops)
