What to Bring
When preparing for your stay at the AlpX Yurt, it's essential to pack carefully to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Here's a list of items to consider bringing along:
- Food & Beverage: While a 20L jug of water is provided, it's advisable to bring additional water to ensure an ample supply. Pack your food and beverages in sealed luggage or coolers, avoiding grocery bags. Coolers should not exceed 23" wide or 22" high, though length is not a concern.
- Sleeping Gear: A 3-season sleeping bag is recommended, as the internal temperature can be regulated by the available heater. Don't forget to bring a pillowcase to place over the existing vinyl pillow cover for sanitary reasons.
- Hut Slippers: Keep your feet warm and comfortable indoors with a pair of hut slippers.
- Outerwear: Be prepared for changing weather conditions by bringing appropriate outerwear, including jackets, pants, and layers to stay warm and dry.
- Portable Battery Bank: While charging is not possible at the yurt, a portable battery bank can keep your personal devices powered up during your stay. Consider bringing devices such as speakers, inReach devices, and cameras to capture your adventures.
