Description
Glassblowing is a form of creative expression that allows learners from all skill levels to experiment with glass-core creations. Patience will be needed, but those who have an interest in fire can try their hand at making beautiful objects!
Terminal City Glass Co-op offers classes in glassblowing, flameworking, beadmaking, and sandblasting for ages 16+, and encourage their students to further their exploration of glass as form of creative expression.
Their mission - to provide access to specialized glass equipment and resources; offer educational glassmaking programs for novice to advanced learners; and to share the creative experience of glassmaking in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Intro to Glassblowing Weekend Workshop
This course will give you basic introductory skills in the hot shop, including how to gather, make a paperweight, blow bubbles and create your first blown glass vessel. You will learn about tools, studio safety and how to work in a team to have fun and blow glass! All materials are included. No experience is necessary.

Make an Ornament
Kick off the Holiday season with their fun and festive glassblowing experience.
Work one-on-one with our experienced glass artists to make your own delightful ornament! You'll choose your own colour, gather molten glass from our furnace, and shape it into a sphere. Hang it on a tree, or in a window to catch the light. It's your treasure to keep or give as a gift.
Intro to Beadmaking
Glass beads are a fun and colourful way to explore the world of glass! In this one-day class you will melt rods of soft glass in a small torch to make a gorgeous assortment of beads. Starting with the basic bead shape, you will learn decorative techniques such as frit, dots and stringer and experiment with different shapes including simple sculptural forms.
In addition, you will learn technical aspects of glass and safety.
