The Vancouver Improv Centre Society (The Improv Centre) is one of Vancouver’s leading and best-known improv theatre companies.
The Improv Centre is home to Vancouver TheatreSports League. Fridays and Saturdays, you can enjoy the hilarious theatrical and musical antics of new and seasoned actors whose quick wit and talent keep audiences coming back for more! With a variety of shows that change throughout the year, the comedy stays fresh and edgy and always packs a punch!
Theatre
Their theatre holds up to 186 guests – 48 cabaret seats, 18 bench seats & 120 theatre-style seats. They have audio-visual capabilities including a projector, full audio switchboard, mics and lighting operated by their professional technicians.
Waterfront Patio & Bar
The Improv Centre’s Bar & Lounge is our very own licensed facility where we offer a selection of beverages – both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. The bar opens one hour prior to show time. As The Improv Centre is a fully-licensed facility, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The patio overlooks the picturesque Granville Island Marina and False Creek which are particularly spectacular on warmer days. You can order your drinks and snacks before the performances and during intermission, and bring them into the theatre with you to enjoy during the show!
