Immerse yourself in a magical environment where you'll feel as though you've escaped on a mini-retreat, all while floating on the water's surface.

Outdoor Liquid Yoga - Embracing Nature's Elements

In the outdoor liquid yoga classes, participants have the opportunity to immerse their bodies and minds into the elements of nature. Held at the Westin Bayshore outdoor pool from June to September, these classes allow individuals to reconnect with nature and explore the playful energy of practicing yoga on water. Led by experienced instructors, these one-hour sessions offer a unique and exciting challenge to traditional yoga practice.

Indoor Liquid Yoga - Finding Fluid Strength and Stability

For those preferring indoor comfort, Just Add Water Yoga & Sup offers liquid yoga classes indoors at the Westin Bayshore Hotel from October to May. In these sessions, participants can experience how their bodies adapt to moving with fluid strength and stability on the floating mat. Like the outdoor classes, these sessions provide a fun and innovative twist to regular yoga practice, encouraging laughter and playfulness throughout.

What to bring or do? 

Participants should know about a few key aspects before diving into liquid yoga classes:

  • Getting Wet:  While instructors do their best to maintain stability on the mat, it's not uncommon for participants to experience some moisture, particularly during mat tipping exercises. It's wise to bring along a change of clothes, and towels are conveniently available onsite.
  • What should I wear? Opt for comfortable attire suitable for the weather conditions. Since outdoor sessions are susceptible to wind, consider layering up. While sunglasses and hats are welcome accessories, keep in mind that they may accidentally fall into the pool, necessitating retrieval from the bottom.
  • Do I need to know how to swim? Absolutely. Given that outdoor classes take place in water depths ranging from 6 to 8 feet, proficiency in swimming is essential. Being at ease with falling into the water and getting back onto the mat not only ensures personal safety but also contributes to the safety of fellow participants.
  • Do I need to be a hotel guest to attend? Not at all. These classes are open to both the public and hotel guests alike. However, it's crucial to pre-book your spot to secure a mat for your participation.
