Float Spa at HÄLSA offers a unique experience unlike any other, especially relevant in today's world where constant stimuli can be overwhelming. By stepping away from daily routines and immersing oneself in a sensory-deprivation environment, individuals can emerge feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and better equipped to handle the stresses of modern life with grace and presence.
The Experience
Upon arrival at HÄLSA, guests are greeted with a private suite featuring either the Genesis Pod or Ocean Cabin, where they receive an orientation about the equipment and experience. After showering, guests enter their float environment to begin their session.
During a float session, individuals enter a pod or cabin filled with 10" of water and 1000lbs of Epsom salt, creating a buoyant environment where they effortlessly float on the surface. The water is heated to skin temperature, blurring the boundaries between body and water, facilitating a state of weightlessness.
In Ocean Cabins, gentle music plays for the first 10 minutes to ease guests into relaxation, followed by a period of silence where all sensations are muted, allowing the mind to enter a state of nothingness. Alternatively, guests can opt for complete silence from the start. Genesis Pods offer control over the music, allowing guests to listen for a few minutes before transitioning to silence.
Both options include the ability to control lighting, providing flexibility for guests to adjust their environment according to their comfort level. After 80 minutes, music gently fades in to signal the end of the session, and guests are invited to take a refreshing shower to rinse off the salt.
