Description
North Shore Equestrian Centre (NSEC) offers English-style Horseback Riding lessons taught by experienced coaches. Located in a scenic setting, provides a safe and enjoyable environment for riders of all levels to learn and improve their skills. They offers full-service boarding and horse care services for riders enrolled in their training programs or looking to purchase their own horse in the future.
- Public Riding Lessons: At NSEC, riders aged 8 and above can participate in public riding lessons, even without owning a horse. All they need is a helmet, boots with a defined heel, and appropriate attire. Lessons take place rain or shine in covered arenas to ensure uninterrupted riding sessions.
- Weekly Group Lessons: NSEC offers weekly group lessons throughout the year from September to June. Both kids and adults can participate in these 45-minute sessions, which require students to arrive early for grooming and tacking up their horse. Weekly commitment until June is expected, but students can quit with two weeks' notice.
- Semi-Private and Private Lessons: For more personalized instruction, NSEC offers semi-private and private lessons, subject to instructor availability. These 45-minute sessions cater to riders seeking individualized attention to enhance their riding skills.
- Evaluation Lessons: Evaluation lessons are required for joining group lessons mid-season. These 75-minute sessions include tack up, riding, and untacking portions and are scheduled based on instructor and arena availability.
Requirements
- Weight Limit: For the safety of their horses, NSEC has a weight limit of 170lbs for new or beginner riders who haven't learned formal English discipline lessons or posting yet.
- Required Equipment: Students in weekly riding programs must own an ASTM/SEI certified helmet and English-style riding boots. GreenHawk is recommended for riding equipment and apparel.
For a rewarding horseback riding experience in a picturesque setting, North Shore Equestrian Centre provides quality instruction and facilities for riders of all ages and skill levels.
