Discover the joy of artistic expression with Sarah’s engaging Art Classes in Regina. Led by Sarah, a contemporary artist with a wealth of experience in teaching and exhibiting her work, these classes are designed for artists of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
Whether you’re a child or an adult, Sarah’s classes offer a fantastic opportunity to explore various painting and drawing techniques, including pencil, chalk pastel, charcoal, watercolour, tempera paint, markers, and acrylic paints.
In these classes, students delve into the creative process, focusing on skill-building, learning new techniques, and artistic adventure. Each session provides a hands-on experience, allowing participants to deepen their creative and personal expression. With a maximum class size of just eight, students receive personalized attention in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Class Details and Requirements
Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook and a set of drawing pencils (ranging from 4H to 4B) to each class. It’s best to wear a large paint shirt or old clothes, as things can get a bit messy! The studio is located upstairs above Sarah’s garage, with access through the side wooden gate on Robinson Street. Please note that no food or drinks are allowed during class unless it's a half-day session with a snack break.
PD Day Workshops: Although not currently available, these workshops offer a half-day of drawing, painting, and mixed media fun for children aged 6-12. Participants are advised to bring a snack and water bottle.
Draw from your Imagination: This 8-week drawing class, designed for children aged 7-12, encourages young artists to use their imaginations while improving their drawing skills. The class focuses on line work, media experimentation, and personal expression.
Colour Your World!: In this vibrant 8-week art class, children aged 7-12 explore everything about colour, including colour theory, mixing, and how colour can be used to express moods and emotions. Through painting and drawing projects, students will learn to express themselves creatively.
Art Alive: This multi-media art class spans 8 weeks and is perfect for youth aged 7-12. Students create a variety of art forms, such as painting, drawing, and posters, based on their unique passions and interests. Sessions are held on Sundays from 1:00-2:00pm, with projects varying depending on discussions and interests.
