The Indoor Shooting Range at Saskatoon Gunworks offers enthusiasts a safe and controlled environment to practice their shooting skills. With a history of over 25 years in the firearms community, Saskatoon Gunworks has evolved to focus on tactical firearms and accessories, while still catering to handgun enthusiasts.
The range features a 25-yard distance, making it ideal for honing accuracy and precision.
At this range, safety is paramount. Strict rules are enforced to ensure a secure experience for all participants. From mandatory eye and ear protection to the prohibition of alcohol and controlled substances, every measure is taken to maintain a safe environment. Only approved firearms and ammunition can be used, and all firearms must be unloaded when entering or exiting the building.
Range Rules and Safety
The indoor range at Saskatoon Gunworks has a comprehensive set of rules designed to ensure the safety of all users. Only one shooter is allowed per lane, and only one firearm may be discharged at a time. All firearms and ammunition are subject to inspection to ensure they meet safety standards. Eye and ear protection are mandatory, with ear muffs required.
All users must have the necessary documents for their firearms, including an Authorization to Transport (A.T.T) and registration certificates for restricted firearms. The use of shoulder or crossdraw holsters is not permitted, and any malfunctioning firearms must be kept pointed downrange until cleared.
Accepted Calibers and Restrictions
The range supports handgun calibers from .22LR to 500 S&W, including rifles chambered in handgun calibers. Rimfire calibers such as .22LR, .22WMR, and .17HMR are also allowed. However, ammunition that is armor-piercing or has a steel core is strictly prohibited. Additionally, .223 / 5.56x45 calibers and shotguns are no longer allowed due to damage concerns.
