Immersive 3D Culinary JourneyLe Petit Chef
Le Petit Chef is an innovative dining experience that takes guests on a journey through the culinary world of the smallest chef in the world. This unique dining concept is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines the best of theatre, dining and technology to provide an unforgettable evening.
Located at the Paradox Hotel in Vancouver, the experience begins with diners choosing between a Classic Menu, a Kids Menu, or a Vegetarian Menu. Once seated, guests will be treated to a culinary journey that will take them on a virtual tour around the world. Using cutting-edge 3D mapping technology, the smallest chef in the world will come to life right on the dinner plates, guiding diners through a world of flavour, colour and culture.
The technology behind the experience is called 3D Projection Mapping. By mapping the dining table and the objects on it (such as plates and cutlery), the team of artists at Skullmapping are able to project a virtual story onto the tabletop. The 3D effect is often referred to as a hologram or 3D projection, but in fact, it is created using special optical techniques and length distortions to create the illusion of 3D.
The Le Petit Chef experience is paired with themed music, props, and an exquisite menu. The culinary journey is accompanied by a range of different dishes that are sure to surprise the taste buds. Whether guests opt for the classic menu or the vegetarian option, they will be treated to a night of good food, great entertainment, and a unique dining experience.
The concept of Le Petit Chef was created by the art directors of Skullmapping and has quickly become one of the most talked about dining experiences in the world. In just a few short years, the brand has expanded to over 30 cities worldwide, and the Vancouver location is no exception. The experience is a must-visit for anyone looking for a night of culinary excellence, entertainment and innovation.
