Description

At the Wruck Riding Centre, horse enthusiasts have the perfect opportunity to enhance their riding skills through their comprehensive Riding Lessons.

The Lessons

These sessions are offered twice a year, with a spring session running from late February to mid-June and a fall session from September to the end of November. Each session spans several weeks, with most students attending once per week. Lessons are approximately one hour long and accommodate 4-6 riders, ensuring personalized attention and a quality learning experience.

Led by head instructor Jessica Wruck and supported by 1-2 junior instructors, these lessons cater to riders of all skill levels. Safety and skill development are prioritized, and in cases of poor weather or instructor cancellations, lessons are rescheduled. While lesson spots are limited, a waiting list is available for those eager to join. Students bringing their own horses must hold a valid Saskatchewan Horse Federation membership and provide appropriate riding gear.

During the lessons at Wruck Riding Centre, riders learn the fundamentals of Western riding, including how to control a horse, communicate effectively, and improve their riding techniques. Lessons are structured to ensure progressive learning, making them suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders.

Camps and Clinics

In addition to regular riding lessons, Wruck Riding Centre offers a variety of camps and clinics throughout the year, catering to different age groups and skill levels. These camps, such as the Little Wruck Riders and Intermediate Wruck Riders Camps, provide a fun and educational environment where young riders can develop their skills through technical lessons, trail rides, and engaging activities like gymkhana games and crafts.

For adults, there are specialized camps like the Ladies & Gents 4 Day Summer Camp, which focus on advanced riding techniques, equine first aid, and even working cattle. Personalized trail rides and winter clinics further enrich the riding experience, offering something for every horse enthusiast.

Whether you're new to riding or looking to refine your skills, the Wruck Riding Centre provides a welcoming and professional environment for all riders. With a strong emphasis on safety, skill development, and fun, it’s an ideal place to embark on your riding journey.
