The Experience
This small-group experience promises a memorable evening under the prairie sky, filled with learning, tasting, and a genuine appreciation for the natural world. You will enjoy the following activities:
- Guided Hike Through Beaver Creek: The evening begins with a guided hike through the native prairie at Beaver Creek Conservation Area. Led by Renny Grilz, an award-winning Agrologist, the hike offers an intimate look at the landscape. As you walk, you'll learn about the importance of the Saskatchewan prairie ecosystem, soaking in the sights, smells, and sounds that make this environment so unique.
- Three-Course Outdoor Dinner: After your hike, settle in for a three-course dinner prepared by the talented team at Odla. Served outdoors with a stunning view of Beaver Creek, the meal highlights locally sourced and seasonally inspired ingredients. Every bite is a testament to the farm-direct philosophy of Odla, making the dinner both a culinary delight and a celebration of sustainable farming practices.
- Interactive Sheep and Stock Dog Demonstration: As dessert is served, the evening continues with an engaging sheep and stock dog demonstration by Shepherd Jared Epp. This interactive experience allows you to see firsthand how grazing is used to support the prairie ecosystem. It's a rare opportunity to witness the incredible bond between the shepherd, his dogs, and the sheep they guide.
